Minutes of the Burton Leonard Sports Field Trust Annual General Meeting St Leonard's Hall - 23rd March 2006

Members Present
Dorothy Furby (Chairman), Michad Wrav (Treasurer), Martin Mainprize (Secretary), Ben Drummond (Mens Cricket), Mike Crawshaw (Play Area), Roger Coleman (Parish Council Rep), Sheila Hornsey (Ladies Cricket). Jonathan Baker (Football), John Crompton, Angela Crawshaw (Tennis), Geof Booth (Bowls).

Also in Attendance John hainsworth, Caroline Barr, Afleen O’Kane (Tennis).

Minutes
The Minutes of the AGM of 17 March 2005, previously circulated, were approved and signed as a true record.

Matters Arising
Stockholders of War Stock are deceased. Value circa £1000. Agreed to sell and invest in CAF account (MW/JH). Charge or new certiticate circa £50.

ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 28 FEBRUARY 2006
The treasurer presented the receipt and payment account and reported a net loss for the year of £851-24, and a cash balance of £5704-99. It was noted that there had been no fund-raising event during the year, equpment maintenance costs were higher and the investigation into the electric meter reading had satisfactorily resolved the excessive charges levied.

Gift Aid claims are to be made when all forms are received from Club representatives.

The Accounts were received and accepted as correct.

CLUB REPRESENTATIVES FOR 2006-07
Changes for 2005-06:-
• Football - add Chris Clare
• Tennis — add John Crompton and Angela Crawshaw in lieu of Aileen O’Kane. Caroline Barr to deputise if necessary.

VILLAGE REPRESENTATIVES
Charles Jesper was re-elected. John Dawson is to be asked if he will remain as the second representative.

HON SECRETARY FOR 2006-08
As the Football Club nominee Roger Coleman was elected for the two year period (JB/A’OK), as successor to Martin Mainprize who was thanked by the Chairman for carrying out this office for the past three years.

CLUB SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR 2006-07
Individual Club subscriptions are to be increased by 5%, as previously agreed, from £257 to £270 generally. It was agreed that Mens Cricket will also be increased by 5% from £577 to £606 (JB/JC)

The per capita payment is to be increased by 5%, as previously agreed, from £5-75 to £6-00.
It was agreed that Juniors under the age of 15 will not pay the per capita levy (JB/BD).

GROUNDSMANS FEES
The Groundsmans lee of £800 is to be increased by 5% to £840.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS
It was noted that the Parish Council are legally restricted if approached for financial support of projects.

NEXT MEETING
The date for the AGM of 2007 was agreed as Thursday 22 March 2007 at 7.30 pm in St Leonard’s Hall
There being no further business, the meeting closed at 8.30 pm.
