Burton Leonard v Glasshouses
Burton Leonard A’s evening league team remain unbeaten this season after a four wicket win at Glasshouses. Chasing 185 for victory, Burton’s batsmen found it hard going and slumped to 87-6, with 99 runs still required off the remaining six overs. However a partnership between Neil Blaken and Ben Drummond developed and the boundaries began to flow and with two overs remaining 39 runs were wanted for victory. Astonishingly those runs were achieved in the next over as Glasshouses conceded five sixes, a four, two twos and a wide and Burton had somehow got home with an over to spare with Ben Drummond ending up 63* and Neil Blaken 37.
